Smokey Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Fennel and Red Pepper

Steak
Ingredients

* 2 steaks
* Olive oil
* Coriander seeds 1 tsp on each side of steak
* Cumin seeds 1 tsp on each side of steak
* Salt
* Pepper
* Ketchup – Needed at the end

How to Cook

* Rub Salt/ pepper/ coriander and cumin on the steak
* Pour olive oil on the steak so that it does not shrink right away
* Fry till almost done without ketchup and add at last minute
* For sauce, add milk, flour till reduced, add balsamic and take off heat when glistening
* Once done, upon serving, use the Vietnamese chilli

Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients

* Potatoes x 2 medium
* Garlic x 2 cloves
* Olive oil 2 tbsp
* Salt
* Pepper
* Milk ¼ (quarter) cup

How to Cook

* Quarter potatoes and put into a pot with warm water and bring to a boil
* Add in garlic cloves whole and boil until potatoes are tender
* Take out garlic cloves
* Mash potatoes with milk, olive oil, salt and pepper coarsely

Sautéed Fennel and Red Pepper
Ingredients

* Fennel ½ (half) bulb
* Onions ½ (half)
* Olive oil
* Garlic 1 smashed
* Salt
* Pepper
* Red pepper ½ (half) – 1
* Coriander 1 tsp
* Cumin 1 tsp

How to Cook

* Slice fennel, onions and red pepper into strips and fry in olive oil
* Add in garlic and spices (coriander, cumin, salt, pepper) and fry till soft
