Did you know tabasco hot sauce comes from a Mexican town call Tabasco where they grow the chilis?<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Total time: 20 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-145\" title=\"Tuna Pasta\" alt=\"Tuna Pasta\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetjunkie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/img_5617.jpg\" width=\"440\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<br \/>\n<\/strong>1 200g can tuna (packed in water)<br \/>\n1.5 cups prepared tomato sauce\/ragu<br \/>\n1\/4 sun dried tomatoes, sliced<br \/>\n1\/2 can creamed sweetcorn<br \/>\n1\/4 cup half n&#8217; half\/cream<br \/>\n1 tbsp hot sauce\/ tabasco<br \/>\n2 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves<br \/>\n200 g Penne pasta<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions<\/strong><br \/>\nSalt water and put your penne to boil. Meanwhile, combine tomato sauce, sun dried tomatoes, sweet corn, Tabasco and bring to a boil. Flake in the tuna and add the cream, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Sprinkle in coriander and keep aside. Drain the pasta saving 1\/4 cup of the pasta liquid. This is very rich in starch and added to any pasta sauce creates a glossy finish to the sauce that adheres better to the pasta. Mix the prepared sauce, pasta and pasta water and simmer for a few minutes till it reaches a thick, glossy consistency.
